About Our Founder
MARK NELSON
Mark has been working in the construction industry since he was 6 years old. He started working for his dad and has successfully built hundreds of homes and churches all over the nation for over 40 years. Mark has a love and affinity for anything that involves a chainsaw, and especially log structures. With over 10 years of experience in log home building alone, Mark is a veteran when it comes to finding problem areas and knowing what quality work is - and what it isn't. Mark believes that if you're going to finish a log home properly, that it takes an artists' touch and a commitment to using only the best products and practices. He enjoys getting to work alongside his wife, Mary, and other members of the Nelson Log Restoration crew. Mark has attended and successfully completed Sashco's Zero Failures seminar/class and is listed as a recommended Log and Wood Home Specialist on the Sashco Website.
